The Job

The team: You will be part of a small multi country team with its supportive leader Simon Schipper (Operations Director); and experienced colleagues like Frank Wiedijk (Supply Chain) or Miłosz Kościelski (Country Manager Poland) to learn from.

You will drive Operational Excellence: You will have plenty of opportunities to influence continuous improvement, decisions, implement changes and make a visible impact on AFPRO. The Operational Excellence Lead -OEL- works closely with all functions in Operations -production, supply chain, procurement- and other stakeholders to achieve the right service at the right costs to service.

Main responsibilities:

  • For today’s customers and to  facilitate the projected business growth founded in the 80/20 principles. The scope ranges from training the organization how to implement the lean principles, to business analytics, to gate keeper of 80/20 in OPS, to leading cross departmental projects. The OEL is the gate keeper for data integrity in relation to KPI’s, costs dash boards and business analysis.
  • The OEL leads and supports projects which are focused on cost an/or service improvements. These projects could be internal Kaizen and Lean activities or larger scale projects with external contractors. An important focus point is to on lead and support the organization in understanding and acquiring the optimal balance between costs and services founded in the 80/20 concept.
  • KPI’s, trend and and opportunities are shared with the operational leadership team, including advise on quad analyses, systems, structures, staff, ways of working (methods). This includes on-site training and to develop operational effectiveness.
  • Targets for the KPIs are focused on the right behavior and performance from the OPS Team. The OEL will monitor progress against set targets with respect to effectiveness, timelines, use of systems and data, deadlines and skills.
  • When possible the OEL will work directly with the team to analyze the processes, systems, structures and working (methods) and help organize on-site training and development stimulating knowledge building/sharing.
